Appraiser Sidekick was born after discovering that that there was a need for a one stop website for real estate appraisers that was easy to use.

Real property appraising is a highly regulated industry.  Let’s see just how regulated it is…

Consider that anyone who wants to become a Realtor has to take just 40 hours worth of classes and pass an exam.  That’s all it takes to get your Realtor license.  However, to become a real estate appraiser, you have to be at least 18, have at least an Associate’s Degree, take 75 hours of classes, pass an exam, and then find a supervisor to work for so you can be a Trainee for 2 years.

And the regulations to become a real estate appraiser have changed significantly in the past several years.  The federal government makes the minimum regulations, and the states may create additional regulations.

You can see why we wanted to create this resource.  Every state has different rules, and Appraiser Sidekick provides a resource for each state.

After you get licensed, get experience, and start you own business, then you have to market your business.  Real Estate Appraisers want to appraise properties, not market themselves!
